Experience The Met collection through creative drawing challenges in the galleries with expert teaching artists. In this session, create portraits inspired by artworks featured in the exhibition Vertigo of Color: Matisse, Derain, and the Origins of Fauvism and learn about the artists’ innovative use of color. Materials are provided, but you may bring your own sketchbook. Please note, only pencils are allowed in the galleries. Demonstrations repeat every 30 minutes. For visitors of all ages.
Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Vertigo of Color: Matisse, Derain, and the Origins of Fauvism.
Masks are strongly recommended. See our visitor guidelines.
