The gallery also recently announced the artists selected for the 2025-26 Artist Incubator program.

Launched in 2023, the program supports artistic growth through dedicated studio space in the Glenhyrst Cottage and a curated development program. Each year, four artists are selected to participate in this eight-month opportunity, which includes self-directed studio work, collaborative opportunities, and five professional development modules led by established artists and industry professionals. Participants also benefit from individualized mentorship from Glenhyrst’s curator and staff.

The selected artists are:

  • Lydia Isaacs — A visual artist and crafts person from Six Nations of the Grand River, Isaacs paints abstract realism.
  • Leslie Davies-Lilly — Davies-Lilly, who has lived internationally all her life,  combines the worlds of art and psychology.
  • Matt Watkinson — Brantford artist Watkinson is a self-taught oil painter who has created some of his work in downtown Harmony Square.
  • Thadeus Zebroski — Zebroski is a mixed media artist whose work combines painting, drawing, photography and digital tools.
