Mondo has released a beautiful print for Disney’s classic 1959 animated film Sleeping Beauty. The art was created by artist Eva Vilhelmiina and it was initially made available as a limited edition print at D23 Expo.

While the poster art is sold out, I did want to share it here for you to see. The artist shared the following information on the print:

“I illustrated this Sleeping Beauty poster for @mondonews and it will be available as limited edition screen print at D23. Really thankful for the art direction of @jlmanderville and @consumedesign who did the beautiful typography.

“I have been a long time admirer of Eyvind Earle’s art and there are many echoes of his influence in my work. His contribution to Sleeping Beauty will definitely keep inspiring others as well.

“Not only that but I think Sleeping Beauty has one of the most iconic villain designs and the artists deserve the credit – Maleficent was designed by Marc Davis and the dragon form is work of Ken Anderson.

“It was really fun to draw Maleficent dragon like this, has to be one of my favorite dragon designs ever.”

The Maleficent dragon is easily one of the coolest Disney villains ever, and she is perfectly captured in this poster art.
